Maintenance
Check out our tips to prevent many common issues and extend the life of your Hotpoint Refrigerator.
Proper Installation
Install the appliance in a fresh and well-ventilated room, protected from direct sunlight and away from heat sources to ensure optimal performance.
Temperature Setting
Set the refrigerator display temperatures appropriately. For the refrigerator, select values from +2°C to +8°C, and for the freezer, from -18°C to -26°C. Adjust using the - and + buttons on the control panel.
Avoid Overloading
Do not fill the appliance with too much food. Cold air must circulate freely for proper food preservation. Obstructed circulation forces the compressor to work continuously, increasing energy consumption.
Defrosting
Defrost the appliance if ice forms. A thick layer of ice makes cold transference to food products more difficult and results in increased energy consumption.
Door Usage
To conserve energy, try to avoid keeping the door open for long periods or opening it too frequently.
